Hi Steve,
I know this is not what you are looking for but might solve part of the
issue for you if you use the keystroke Control+Y to call up the folder list.
Then navigate it using arrow keys to go up and down and to open and close
the branches of the tree.. Press Enter to go to the folder you select.
It sounds like you may need to adjust the settings for the view in terms of
the Navigation pane, Reading pane etc but I don't have this version of
Outlook to give further advice.
Incidentally, I find the search box absolutely excellent in Outlook to help
find things I've lost etc.

Hello
I am hoping somebody can help with this.
I am using Outlook 2016 and JAWS17 (up-to-date), I am used to pressing tab +
Shift to move from a list of emails to the folder list. Yesterday Outlook
had some kind of fit and now when I perform this keystroke I am taken into a
search box. After tabbing through the search box I am returned to the list
of emails.
Can anybody tell me how to get rid of the search box. I have checked all the
View Menu and the Outlook Options and can find nothing to move or remove the
search yet the keystroke was working perfectly happilyy yesterday morning
and now I am unable to get to other folders.
I am told that the search box only appears when I tab+shift from the list of
emails.
Any hep would be appreciated.
