Jaws 5.10 will be perfectly happy with Office XP.

Jaws 5.10 made efforts to be compatible with MS Word 2003. but rest of
Office may have some problems. True Office 2003 compatability does not
really arrive until version 6.x. A common problem is reading lines in MS
Word with Jaws 5.10 where some go blank. The best solutions to this
involve
setting the view to "normal" and Zoomtext to 75 percent. However there
are
cases where this does not help, updating graphic drivers can sometimes
help,
but there are situations where MS Word 2003 really doesn't go well with
Jaws
5.10 and others where it is fine. It depends a bit on the graphic card
  being used.
  Regards.
