The top two messages below serve no useful purpose for the list.  If listers 
are moved to thank a contributor, and that contributor is in turn moved to say 
"You're welcome", I suggest that such pleasantries be taken off-list. 
Another possibility is, when asking for help, to end with "Thanks in advance" - 
"TIA" for short.
Yes I know, I have myself added to list clutter with this message, but I 
thought it was worth mentioning once.  I won't do so again.  Apologies to the 
moderator if I have "spoken out of turn".
