Hi.

Yeah, I disabled images and that does speed things up a little.

Disabling flash has no effect though as it still loads the flash media, it
just doesn't display it.

I might try a different screen reader to see if it handles any better.

Cheers

Grasping at straws, perhaps, but see if you can get your browser to display
text only - they always used to have this option. It may still download all
the garbage, though, without displaying it.

Hi folks.

When you go to a website using Jaws, you tend to have to wait until it has
completely loaded into the browser before you can start navigating or
interacting with it.

For example.

I go to amazon.co.uk.

The main page starts to load quickly so I could get to the search box and
start looking for stuff.

But then, all these different elements that haven't finished loading, like
add banners, flash elements, add frames etc interupt whatever you're trying
to do, so you end up having to wait until the page has fully loaded. This
makes the net seem like dial up.

Is there any way around this at all?

Cheers
Darren
