Hi, Recently I had a hard disk crash on my windows xp machine. I had the hard disk replaced, and the old one put back in as a slave, but the pc is booting from the new one. I had everything re-installed, and installed jaws with no problem. However, ever since, i cannot get jaws to start automatically when the pc boots up. 1. I ensured that the checkbox was checked to have jaws speak automatically once the pc starts. 2. I did a repair and a modify of the instillation but no joy. 3. I checked to see that my xp account was set up as an administrater, and I changed this to ensure it was. 4. I decided to do a complete re-install of jaws, i also removed the old freedom scientific folder from the program files on my c drive, before re-installing jaws. Once again, I ensured that start jaws automatically was ticked, but still no joy. Any ideas as to what could be preventing jaws from starting automatically? I am using jaws version ten, with windows xp service pack 3. Cheers, Brian. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Find the home of your dreams with eircom net property Sign up for email alerts now http://www.eircom.net/propertyalerts ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
