Paul, To get to the Configuration Manager... If you have Jaws running from the System Tray: 1. Press the Jaws key + j, to open the Jaws menu. 2. Select the Utilities menu, then Configuration Manager. If you have Jaws as an open application on your desktop: 1. Switch focus to the Jaws application. 2. Go to the Utilities menu and select Configuration Manager. In either case, this will open the default configuration file, which means that any changes you make to it will be felt across the entire operating system, including all applications. To stop Jaws from picking up on language changes, do the following... 1. From inside the Configuration Manager, open the Set Options menu. 2. Select Text Processing. 3. Tab around the dialogue window that opens, until you reach the Detect Languages option. 4. Remove the check from the checkbox and OK your changes. 5. Use Control + s to save the changes to the default configuration file and you should be set. There was a message on this subject some time ago but it merely told you where to go but not how to get there. Hope you can help.
