Hi Jamie, and Paul,
I have this exact problem, using Office 2010 with Jaws 14.
The problem occurs with both Outlook and Word, and the status line is
visible in both programs. I do not have the problem in Notepad.
S&S tell me that FS know of this problem, and it would be rectified in an
update.
There has in fact been such an update, but the problem still persists. It is
most annoying.

Hi Paul,
It sounds to me like you've somehow turned off the Status Bar which is what
Insert+Numpad3 reads. Although I'm not sure which version of
Outlook/Outlook Express you are using, If you try the following:
1. Press Alt+V to go to the View menu
2. Scroll down until you find the item "Status Bar" (hopefully it will be
there). Check if it is checked or not. If it is checked, my suggestion is
not the answer. If it is not checked, press Enter on it and hopefully your
problem will be solved.
