Thank you for your message.
I did have reason to speak to another jaws user earlier today who mentioned
the same procedure as you describe, although as the reason for the
conversation was a completely different topic, I later called support at
Sight & Sound, and one of their support team was able to advise me on a
slightly different and quicker method for changing the settings, which
involved making changes in the start-up wizard accessed via the Jaws help
menu.
