If Jaws did not speak at all enquire as to whether there is the Norton or
some other Firewall software install that may be blocking Jaws. Perhaps see
if other sighted family member can watch for what prompts comes on when you
start Jaws to reveal the mystery.

Good Morning All,
Can any one help me, I have jaws 7 and windows xp home.
Last night I unloaded jaws because I am using a family computer and then
when I wanted to use jaws this morning I used the jaws hot key that I had
assigned and the program came on and went off straightaway.
the reason how I know this is that I have my computer make a sound when I
open a program and when the program closes.
can any one help with this query or give me a solution.
