Hi Norman.

I think you do indeed need JSay and unfortunately it does not work with Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred so you need Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional. If you have Windows Vista, then T and T Consultancy, the company that produces JSay does a program called JVist that works with Windows Vista, though you need to be able to use the keyboard for commands, complex formatting etc.

As far as I know then, T and T consultancy is the only company that makes solutions that allow JAWS and Dragon or JAWS and vista speech recognition to work together. I know T & T does offer training, but I don't know who else may be able to offer this in the UK.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Dragon Naturally Speaking

(Sorry about the bodiless email!)

Hello,

I have acquired Dragon Naturally Speaking v9 Preferred Edition. Does anyone
here know: Can I manage this software without any additional software, or
does JAWS need something like J-Say? Does J-Say exist for the Preferred
Edition?

Also, I am looking at getting some training for myself in Dragon. Who does
training in this now?

Thanks,

Norman O.
