Subject: [jaws-uk] Another j.11's quirk

Hi Folks,
Decided to-day to install the new version on my desktop. It works pretty
well on the laptop running Vista so, I didn't think there would be any
problem installing on the desktop running XP.
Imagine my surprise when I was informed that my Power Braille 40 was now
only supported through the parallel port. I don't know what a parallel cable
looks like, have no idea where the parallel port is on my PC and do not know
what to look for on the Braille display to find the relevant socket.
Has anyone dealt with the same problem? Do I need a dedicated cable? if so,
where can I find one? Would it be easy for me to make the required change
without sighted help?
Instead of bragging about the new features in a new version, wouldn't it be
better for SF to first list the features they don't support anymore? In
V.10, they stopped supporting Anytime Organizer, I use every day and now
this...Not a nice Christmas present at all this.

Grateful for any help.

Compliments of the season to all.
Marie
