I am using JAWS 14 with outlook 2007 on an XP machine.. When I hit the numpad 3
it was page down. What am I doing wrong. It would be very convenient to know
how many unread messages I have.

Thanks for this.

I should say that yesterday's problem has sorted itself out.

When I turned on my PC just now, I got a JAWS video intercept mesage, as I had
done yesterday but this time I entered on the radio button.

My PC closed down soon after and reopened.

after opening outlook, I noticed JAWS was telling me how many messages and how
many unread messages there were. so numpad 3 workds.

I am also able to hear where the to and other fields are within an email
message.

Paul.

: Hi,
:
: Go to your JAWS icon on your desktop. Hit the ALT + Enter key, this should
: open a properties dialog box. TAB to where it says shortcutHot key. In the
: edit box hit the keys CNTRK+ALT+J TAB to the Apply button and hit enter.
: Shift TAB to the same location to check if the hot key was captured
: correctly, if yes TAB to the OK button and hit enter. Now your hot key or
: shortcut key is ready for use. To launch JAWS using it just hit the CNTRL
+
: ALT + J keys together and JAWS should launch.
