Hi Will,

This is strange. The showing of errors is up to you. If it is turned off, there
is no reason for any dialogue box to popup while you are dictating. Try Sue's
suggestion about setting Jaws punctuation and also, see for how long the results
box is being displayed. It should be 1 second.

Hi,
wow this is a fantastic list. I'm getting feedback from you guys with in
half an hour of posting and its a Sunday Impressive!.

I've just tried the check errors command and J-say reports that its set to
not show errors in the corrections box. Is this how it should be?

Also I've followed all the configuration instructions in the manual so
unless I've mist some thing this machine should be setup correctly.
although there is an offal lot of settings that have to be just right so
when I get a spare our or so later on I mite go back through the manual and
double check every single setting.

Has there ever been any talk of making this configuration automatic at any
point? or is it unfeasible?

Thanks
Will

Hi will,

Have you set up your computer exactly as described in the j-say manual? I am
thinking that your problem could be the result of the dictation error box
showing up. This boxed usually shows when dragon does not understand what
you have dictated. Could you use the check errors command and tell us
whether errors in the results box are set to be announced?

I have usually heard the dot dot dot in jaws for Windows when I have
navigated amongst various dialog boxes. Punctuation in jaws has been set to
all.

Hi all,
I've only just joined the list so many apologies if this isn't the stile of
posting that the list usually deals with.

Its only a small thing but when working with the latest versions of J-say,
Jaws 7.1 and Dragon 9.0 Jaws often reads out dot dot dot when I dictate some
thing. to the best of my knowledge I've been through the entire setup
process and have windows, Jaws and Dragon configured correctly.

Does any one have an idea what dot dot dot means?

Any help most appreciated. Again if this type of query isn't appropriate
for the list many apologies.

Cheers
Will
