As it happens, I have done a lot on this. We have a 2kM Bridge between two
sub-nets. It was not without problems - see
http://www.4qdtec.com/Routing.html 255 ping problem
for one.

Having tried 3 pairs of WiFis I have two pairs spare. Offers?

Two are Mercurys with stdev's softare.
Two are newer Netgear - which configure via a www interface so are
workable from RISC OS.

I have settled on Senaos - much better for long distance use but their UI
is crap!
