You might also want to move out of your script and into a .NET service if
you really want some power and options around this thing..

It's quite easy to use proxy authentication methods for web objects and
such.  I'm the same boat at anchor where I needed a service to authenticate
on its own to a client's web service (similar XML object created) and I just
used the authentication method.  All is good.
