Did you know, that RainFinity's RainConnect is dead?
I got an E-Mail from a customer who tried to purchase RainConnect recently.
It's in German but the most important part is in English.....

Zusammengefaßt ein paar Worte zu RainConnect und dem Grund, weshalb ich
Ihrer Anfragen nach neuen RainConnect Lizenzen nicht nachkommen kann.
Wie telefonisch angedeutet ist in den letzen Tagen für die Produkte RainWall
und RainConnect eine schwerwiegende Entscheidung getroffen worden.
Nach reiflicher Überlegung, hat EMC beschlossen, den Vertrieb von RainWall
und RainConnect, die Hochverfügbarkeitslösungen für Microsoft ISA Server und
Check Point Firewalls, einzustellen. EMC Kunden und Partner der Lösung
Rainfinity Global File Virtualization (GFV) sind nicht von dieser Nachricht
betroffen.
Kunden mit laufendem RainWall oder RainConnect Support Vertrag werden für
die gesamte Dauer Ihres Support Vertrages technische Unterstützung erhalten.
Kunden können auch bestehende Support Verträge bis zum 31. Dezember 2007
verlängern.
RainConnect und RainWall befinden sich ab sofort in einem Ende-of-Life
Prozeß und wir können daher keine Bestellungen für neue Lizenzen annehmen.
In der offiziellen Mitteilung, die gerade an unsere RainWall und RainConnect
Partner verschickt wird heißt es:
"This letter is to inform you that after careful consideration, EMC has
decided to halt the sale of RainWall and RainConnect, the high availability
solution for Microsoft ISA Server and CheckPoint firewalls.
EMC customers and partners of the Rainfinity Global File Virtualization
(GFV), formerly known as RainStorage, are not impacted by this announcement.
Rainfinity GFV customers will continue to receive engineering and technical
support for one of EMC's most successful and strategic new products. For
any Rainfinity GFV questions, please contact an EMC Sales Representative. "

Does anybody know what's going on?
Seems to be the only soultion for ISP Loadbalancing/high availability for
ISA.....and now it's dead?
