Hi Michael,
 
PASV mode isn't required. The FTP access application filter allows all clients 
to use PORT mode.

Have you set checked the box for Passive FTP in the advvanced tab of the 
Internet Explorer and/or in the Preferences on the FTP Program ?

        Do you have the firewall client installed? Is there an FTP protocol 
rule? Is the FTP application filter enabled?

                i´m using the isa server  (firewall client) and can´t use the 
ftp client (ws-ftp)
                
                looking in the log file i found:
