The disks appear healthy and have plenty of free space. No HW issues I
can see, and SP 2 is installed. I haven't tried disabling the other
products yet. I've run N2H2 for a long time, and never had an issue.

Hi Chris,

Could the disk be going bad? Are you running out of space? Any hardware
issues you have found? Ever see this when DownloadSecurity and N2H2 are
disabled?

Is SP2 installed?

Thanks!
Tom

I'm having an issue with the w3proxy service failing, generally each
morning. I've just migrated from ISA 2000 on a Windows 2000 box to ISA
2000 on Windows 2003. I'm only using the caching components, not not
the firewall, and have GFI Download Security and N2H2 Filtering running
on the box. I'm also getting the following three errors in the event
log when the problem occurs.

Any thoughts? I never had an issue with the web proxy service
terminating on my old box.

Thanks,
Chris

Description:
Disk cache D:\urlcache\dir1.cdat failed to initialize. Some errors were
encountered when ISA Server restored specific data cache files. ISA
Server will now attempt to recover these files. These errors may have
occurred because there was not enough time to complete all necessary
shutdown operations, when ISA Server was previously shut down. To avoid
this in future, you can increase the value of the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\WaitToKillServiceTim
eout registry key. Identify the reason for cache failure by examining
previous recorded events, or the error code. The error code in the Data
area of the event properties indicates the cause of the failure
(internal code: 503.6333.3.0.1200.365).
