Hi Shawn, Great observations! Yep, the most secure form of authentication is negotiated first, and then it works it way down to basic. Does the ISA Web Proxy service authentication dialog box pop up when the RealPlayer is configured to use it? I'm using RealPlayer 8 (ver 6) and I notice there is no credentials dialog box in the proxy settings. Thanks! You just have to make sure that basic authentication is the only thing turned on, no digest/NTLM. ISA sends up to 5 separate proxy-authenticate headers instead of just one. RealPlayer will only pay attention to the first one it sees and if that's not Basic then you can forget it. If digest or NTLM is turned on that header gets sent before the Basic header, I assume because they are stronger authentication schemes. Since RealPlayer doesn't support those schemes the authentication will fail. -Shawn ----- Shawn R. Use those and remember that RealPlayer won't work with Web Proxy authentication.
