Hi Shawn,

Great observations! Yep, the most secure form of authentication is
negotiated first, and then it works it way down to basic. Does the ISA
Web Proxy service authentication dialog box pop up when the RealPlayer
is configured to use it? I'm using RealPlayer 8 (ver 6) and I notice
there is no credentials dialog box in the proxy settings.

Thanks!
Tom

RealPlayer SORTA works with ISA's web proxy authentication. You just
have
to make sure that basic authentication is the only thing turned on, no
digest/NTLM. ISA sends up to 5 separate proxy-authenticate headers
instead
of just one. RealPlayer will only pay attention to the first one it
sees
and if that's not Basic then you can forget it. If digest or NTLM is
turned
on that header gets sent before the Basic header, I assume because they
are
stronger authentication schemes. Since RealPlayer doesn't support those
schemes the authentication will fail.

Hi Nehad,

There are built in RealPlayer protocols, I believe. Use those and
remember that RealPlayer won't work with Web Proxy authentication.

hi everybody,
i make some steps to allow realplayer to connect to internet, this steps
as
follow
i create a 2 protocol definition,the first has a primary connection with
port no. 554
 protocol type tcp
direction outbound
and with secondary connection as follow

6970-32000 udp receive
6970-32000 tcp inbound

the second protocol definition as follow

primary connection: port no. 7070
protocol type tcp
direction outbound
with secondary connection as follow
6970-7170 udp receive
6970-7170 tcp inbound

then i create a 2 protocol rules to allow using the protocol definition

now: is this steps is true or i need something else to do at isa server
to
allow realplayer8 to connect to internet
and is there any extra steps to do at realplayer itself depending on
what
i did at isa
note:F.W clients is installed at all workstations and all users can
connect to internet

thank u ,i need ur help(if possible detail steps)
nehad
