Are these users Firewall Client users or SNAT clients?

Subject: [isalist] restricting internet usage without blocking an
application

http://www.ISAserver.org

Our company has an application that runs on local computers and downloads
the data by connecting to a database via internet located at main office,
some of the users that use this application shouldnt be able to browse the
internet so I put a rule using a group membership for those who should have
internet access, even if I put this users under that group the application
doesnt connect to the database, application only works if I leave the
internet access by IP, apparently application uses the anonymous user to
connect to main office. What could I do restrict the internet usage and have
those users connect with this application?
