Hi Latex, Put the abusers into a group, then deny the group access to TCP 25 outbound. If you want to have big fun, create a bandwidth rule and assign the abusers group a bandwidth priority of 1 inbound and 1 outbound for ALL protocols :-) HTH, Tom Thomas W Shinder www.isaserver.org/shinder ISA Server and Beyond: http://tinyurl.com/1jq1 Configuring ISA Server: http://tinyurl.com/1llp -----Original Message----- From: latex234 [mailto:threebadman@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2003 4:19 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] disabling bulk mail http://www.ISAserver.org hello all, i have a problem that requires a quick assisst. i have this program that users run on my network that allows them send multiple mails at a time thereby slowing down my network. i think the program they use is called mail extractor or something. is there a way i can block this using isa? i would really like to prevent them from sending such mails as they choke up my bandwidth and my isp too has complained. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org/ Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
