Could your ISP be blocking port 25? Some ISPs do not want people to be running mail servers on their connections because of spam, so they block port 25 outgoing. I would consult your ISP to make sure they are not blocking any ports and that you indeed can run a mail server on your end. Otherwise will have to figure away to get SMTP to connect your ISP's SMTP server to send your email through. Many ISPs (not enough, IMHO) block outbound SMTP from their accounts. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: thriesle@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thriesle@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, November 13, 2004 01:29 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: dial-up connection in ISA server http://www.ISAserver.org Sir, need your help regarding dial-up connection in isa server...whne sending out email using this connection, error always occur, error is "protocol: SMTP, Port 25, SSL No socket error.
