WEB client = uses the web proxy service directly by making proxy-type calls to the ISA int IP at the outbound listener port. FW client = uses the firewall client software for all requests SecureNAT client = uses ISA in IP as its default route (either directly or via routed network) and has no extra software or settings The difference between how the client is viewed by ISA is based on the request how the request is made. A host can be all three, but not for every request. I have read that a machine can not be a firewall client and a securenat client at the same time?? Also some question about authentication. Firewall clients are the only client that use authentication unless you force it on the web proxy client. Yet firwall clients use the http redirector which states it does not pass authentication but if you look in the report logs it show by user name for the fw clients ... can someone explain this better to me? brian ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
