Can create a network share for the everyone group or allow anonymous access and 
map the network share to the client laptop??

XP Home can not become a member of a domain, nor can it (the OS) access
domain resources. 

The user that is logged in can access domain resources by providing his/her
domain username and password to the extent allowed by the security
permissions on the domain.
