WOW!

They really have you in a sling when it comes to business DSL. $140 (US
I am guessing) for 512/512K DSL, that's simply sad! My business gets
4Meg down/800K up for $89 per month Canadian which includes a static IP
(ADSL PPPoE). And it costs around $125 ~ $200 per month (depending were
you look) for dedicated ADSL plus 5 static IP's, which means you don't
get the over head of the PPPoE on your connection. Most companies that
offer the 4Meg dedicated ADSL here also up your line stats to 5Meg
down/800K up providing your line can handle it.

As for as T1's are concern I would only invest in I needed to in a
partial T3, a T1 really doesn't cut it anymore.

Regards,

Andrew

Hi guys......please excuse the very much off topic question, but I have
a few questions, not related to ISA, however, I suppose it is tied into
ISA.

I have a customer, who at the moment has a fractional T1 (64K) internet
conection, they actually have 2, one private, one for their public
wireless network.

This is costing them $220 a month, with a yearly charge of $225.

If they switch ISP's, just for the private network to a DSL solution,
they can get a 512 / 512 connection for $140 a month, quite a saving.
Now bearing in mind, they need and want to up their bandwidth, can any
of you supply the pro's and cons of moving to dsl and getting rid of the
T1.

I have the understanding that a full T1 is 1.544 Mbits up AND down.
TOTAL BANDWIDTH is 1.544 Mbits. Is that correct??

Thanks

Steve
