It is installed on ISA because we have limited servers to install software on but I know you shouldn't install on ISA. I have uninstalled temporarily to try something else so I don't have the errors. I think it was some kind of chaining or looping error. OK, I managed to get a PC with W2K3 to install IWSS on for testing. IWSS then forwards requests to ISA. Using this method another problem is appearing. In the browser when I specify the IP address as the proxy everything works fine. But if I use the hostname or FQDN in the proxy field of the browser the request fails. All I get in the ISA logs is that the request is trying to be passed as anonymous. All clients can resolve the hostname. On the ISA we only allow access to certain groups. But if this is changed to All Users then using the hostname works. Why would using the IP address work when using authentication on the rule, but not when using the hostname. What errors are you getting? I have followed the Trend KB's but can't get them to work. I don't really mind if ISA is the upstream or downstream server. Thanks Nathan
