Ok kids; you keep this up and I stop the car and dump your butts on the
dirt.

Andrew - you have an annoying habit of barely skimming any doc you get
and complaining that it doesn't give you step-by-step for your
particular scenario.
Two words - "tough titty".

Networking is a complex beast with nearly unlimited variations on any
particular theme. Add firewalling and application filtering to the mix
and it gets a hundred times more complex.

The difference between your postings and others is that even the
"smartest" in the list come in with "what part of my brain is on
sabbatical here?" when a doc doesn't work for them.
It's time you quit this accusatory garbage and start "filling in the
blanks". If you don't understand how or why one scenario differs from
another, ask; don't complain that "no one is writing for me".

Right, that's publishing exchange rpc/http, but not through ISA

Isa's a whole new ball game as the rpc endpoints at the isa server, and
ISAdoes all the http/rpc gubbins.

Stop trying to do things before you've read up on them, it'll make life
a lot easier.

You need to read up on publishing exchange rpc/http through an ISA
Server...not just exchange

Okay let me rephrase that.

Is Tom's method similar to his OWA on ISA 2004? The FBA happens at the
ISA server, the RPC over HTTP method on ISA 2004 looks like he's doing
all the RPC work at the ISA level. Microsoft's documents show to do all
the work at the Exchange level.

Huh?

SSL is SSL is SSL is SSL all the way down the line.
It doesn't matter if it's serving OWA, RPC/HTTP or your favorite banking
phishing site.

The principal behind your RPC over HTTP on ISA is that similar to OWA
SSL were you are having ISA handle all the RPC over HTTP stuff? Under
Microsoft's information they ask you to install RPC over HTTP and add
the PRC Proxy registry settings to Exchange were as you do it on the ISA
server.
