You got hping2 running on Windows XP SP2 ? I thought half-baked sockets
made it puke... I use that every single day.

You can check out TraceTCP for Windows.

        http://tracetcp.sourceforge.net/

It basically has the same offerings as tcptraceroute. Of course,
requires libpcap to cover from the lack of proper raw sockets, as usual.

One *nix-like tool that would be very kewl to have for Windows is
tcptraceroute. This works just like traceroute but allows you to traceroute to
a specific TCP port. That's a great tool when you need to determine at which
firewall or ACLed router ports are being blocked.

Another tool, hping, is available for Windows. This works like
tcptraceroute for TCP ports but can also do the same of UDP ports, in addition
to just ICMP. However, I have had no success in actually getting it to work.

Anyone know of any other tools that run on Windows and provides the
same kind of functionality as above?

        Cordially yours,
