Monitoring of all web traffic in and out of ISA Server 2004 is a feature of Surfcontrol's hotfix 1, not a bug. This is what I was told by the technicians of SurfControl. Granted, they had not contacted their development team in the UK - they are confident it is a feature. This feature also monitors internal -> internal/Internal subnet web request. (They did suggest a "subnet" tab so that SC would not monitor these internal subnets.) With this feature, one must either create a Surfcontrol rule to allow external (public) web request to work, or change the category of your internal websites - providing that category is blocked. greg ________________________________ From: Crockett, Gregory [mailto:Gregory.Crockett@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, September 30, 2005 9:24 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Surfcontrol SNat and firewall clients - revisted. hotfix1 http://www.ISAserver.org Dan, Just hotfix 1 for version 5.0.1.39. released 1 July 05. Yes, it now monitors SNAT and firewall clients. Our install monitors and interacts with incoming web request to our internal web sites. Has anyone else seen this with this hotfix? greg ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: gregory.crockett@xxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: gregory.crockett@xxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
