Tom, In your article posted on http://isaserver.org/articles/2004pubowartm.html <http://isaserver.org/articles/2004pubowartm.html> , on tab 29 it says "the name in the Server text box must match the name on the certificate bound to the OWA site on the corporate network. I encourage you to use the same name from "end to end" but its not absolutely required. In a future article, I'll show you how you can actually use different public names and private names" So if I get this right, I can generate a certificate for mail.domain.local and use it, also changing the to tab in owa publish rule to point to internal *.local instead of *.com. I understand that I client side they will get an error saying that certificate doesn't match the fqdn but they can simply trust it and press ok and it will work. The question is will it fix the *.local and *.com issues with rpc over https without having to go through the split dns structure as a quick solution? Sorry if this is a stupid question as I am very confused about this ________________________________ From: Thomas W Shinder [mailto:tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sun 3/6/2005 6:31 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] SSL bridging article http://www.ISAserver.org I won't be able to release to the site until next week, but figured you might find it useful: http://www.tacteam.net/isaserverorg/2004owa2/2004owa2.htm ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: ara@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
