I wonder, is it a good idea to have a mail forwarder on the IIS machines
in the DMZ. Or does it have to be a separate machine? All the SMTP
forwarder would be doing is sending the request to the exchange machine
on the internal firewall.

Any thoughts on this?

Thank you,

Joseph

I've not seen that problem.

My problem however is that I continue to add email
domains/Keywords/Addresses etc.. to my SMTP filter to block/delete
messages and I
still get messages that I requested to be deleted passing through the
filter. Not much of a filter if you ask me.

First it was broken with SP1 and wouldn't accept mail from postfix
servers, then it was fixed, now we are havng problems accepting from a
customer with exchange.

I have turned it off completely and probably for good, it is causing me
way too much heartache and embarassment.

Anyone else having problems with it not letting legit mail through?

Thanks
Jon
