You lose the ability to filter based on destination sets. This is a biggie
to many folks, because it the best way to block Code Red and Nimda.

Yeah... well I'd hate to scrap a very effective (and familiar) way of
reporting (both infrastructure and internal client wise)and now
APPLICATION development because ISA cannot pass the actual IP to the web
server.

I guess there is no way around this.. I will not use web publishing.

So what will i be giving up by using server publishing and are there any
steps I can take to secure this as much as possible?

Thanks for your thoughts.

> Hi Bryan
net-alyzer could solve this problem for you. It reports on all activity
and where you are using DHCP and the users name is not in the logs you
can
enable the "IPTRACK" feature of the solution. This feature creates an
association between a machine and a user so that activity from a machine
can generally be associated with a user or account.
For more information go to www.net-alyzer.net
They also offer a discount to ISAServer.org members.
