Progress webspeed

Has anyone had any joy with a webspeed server in the DMZ?
We have Webspeed 3.1D on an IIS5 box (inside the DMZ)
With the database & broker on a box inside the lan, no matter what I do
I can't get the messenger on the webspeed box to talk to the broker on
the database box.
The ports it requested are open (UDP 5162 & TCP 3057) but no joy.
If anyone else has a similar config maybe you could forward me port
details etc
