Yeah, you're right I'll leave the moral issues aside and instead start spewing about songs that are older than me and how I wasted three hours at toys-r-us instead. :)
Tell me again what I was trying to accomplish there? Oh yeah, right, just point out that in the case of an ISP, the "P2P has no place in business" argument doesn't really applies.
Anyways, I was merely pointing out the possibility, your honor.

Both of you are off in never-land.
1. There are a number of ISPs using ISA - I can't say which (have to kill the entire list), but they exist and yes; they're a mix of SecureNET and Web Proxy configurations
2. There are no "moral" or "principle" issues with an ISP controlling the traffic sent across *their* network. You're leasing bandwidth and access rights which are limited by the AUP you agreed to.
Don't like your ISP practices? You are well within your rights to take your business elsewhere, but *please* don't start spewing about morals or principles when you're talking about ISP policies.

Alexandre, I think you read too much into his post.
1. No ISP is going to be using a firewall, let alone ISA server, to have their client behind it. They use something much simpler called routers.
2. If an ISP had a purpose to use a firewall, and ISA server at that, to protect their clients, that ISP is going to be extremely specialized serving maybe schools or such in which case they would indeed want to block stuff.
3. Yes, I read the non-english as first language in his post. Here, let me translate it for you into English: "I want to allow Kaaza and other such programs to and from my internet connection. Please tell me how to do this."
4. My point stands, the use of programs such as Kaaza and using firewalls such as ISA server are mutually exclusive based on their intended purpose and design.

Yeah, that's good and all that, but he says he runs an ISP, I believe.
English is also obviously not his first language, so I'd suggest cutting
to filterslack.
Some people here will bray and neigh all they want that ISP have a right
content and should not give in to whatever request their customers mayhave, but I
for one will take my business elsewhere the day my ISP starts filteringthe content I
can access. This is not China; it's a question of morals and principles --and I believe
that access to information, even if that information is something Iconsider wrong, is a
inherent right to anyone. Freedom of speech also means letting someone sayyou.
something you might not like. You're free to not listen if that insults
Now, in order to be helpful, it would be a matter of creating protocolports with
inbound/outbound connection definitions, and source/destination ports.Skype was
discussed just now on this very list, and as for Kazaa... well, youdetermine the ports
generallyand allow the traffic you see necessary to run through.
This should be vaguely familiar if you are indeed running an ISP...

Peer-to-Peer services like you list and full feature firewalls are
arespeaking mutually exclusive.
Peer-to-Peer services are specifically designed to enable and promote the free exchange of information including information that should not be exchanged.
In other words, Peer-to-Peer services have no place in an enterprise and
considered malicious and undesired.
