Clients send mail through servers, so how can you block clients. And this
should be sent to an exchange list.

Subject: [isalist] OutOfftopic: Exchange Server Smtp security rule

http://www.ISAserver.org

(Exchange Server 2000 on win2k box - generic smpt security question) ---My
question:
Its some form to indentify that the sender is an smtp server and not and e-mail
client, and only receive messages to "@mydomain", from smtp servers, not form
clients?

---My Problem:
Today, anyone from the internet can send mail to my public e-mail domain
"@mydomain" unsing my exchange-server as the SMTP server.
That's not a relay its rigth, cause I'm the owner of this public domain I need
accept all messages for it, but so I receive a lot of spam.

For correctness only smtp servers from other domains could send smtp messages
to my SMTP server and not e-mail clients.

PS:
I deny relay on my server, but accept it from my users if they authenticate on
the smtp server.
I'am not requering reverse lookup to accept messages cause many of clients of
my enterprise are not in conformance with dns reverse registrations.

Thanks,

Müller.
