Hi Jay, Make Disable 0 on the last config you have there. However, if spoolss isn't the service in question, then things get really scary :-) Thomas W Shinder, M.D., MCSE, MCT -----Original Message----- From: Jay J. TCPDUMP at the linux print server reveals that no matter how I configure the [Spoolss] or [spoolss] for that matter, the ISA server insists on sending LPR jobs from port 5400-5800 someplace in there.. RemoteBindTcpPorts=515 LocalBindTcpPorts=721-731 or LocalBindTcpPorts=721-731 RemoteBindTcpPorts=515 or Disable=1 RemoteBindTcpPorts=515 LocalBindTcpPorts=1024-5000 I pretty much have made it my goal to exhaust all possibilities within the above parameters. have I done something wrong to deserve this ?? Rebooting the server seems to not have any effect either I just found out. Just bumped the port that the ISA server is sending on to 6308 =( any suggestions??? -----Original Message----- From: Thomas W. SPM deviates from the LPR standard in one way: it does not conform to the RFC 1179 requirement that the source TCP port lie between port 721 and port 731. This range is insufficient when a server sends data to more than 11 printers. SPM therefore uses ports from the general, unreserved pool of ports (ports 1024 and above). Better change those Bind local port settings to 1024-5000 HTH, Tom Thomas W Shinder, M.D., MCSE, MCT ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: jmobley@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to leave-isalist-295503G@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
