I also experience this issue. Our ISA servers were not upgraded from Proxy 2.0,
so I do not think deleting your VPN connections will help.
Our connections wers lost more frequently when our Internet bandwith was pretty
much used up. We upgraded our links and the VPNs are more reliable now. But
every 3 days or so the connections are lost, no error messages, ports ok,
connections appear ok but no data flows through the VPN.

I have experienced this problem for the last year. I talked with
Microsoft for a long time and we never figured out why. Their
suggestion was, because I upgraded from Proxy 2.0, to delete all my VPN
connections and recreate them using the ISA wizard. Unfortunately, I
have not found a good time to do this so I'm not sure if this will solve
anything. I'm interested in hearing a solution, as this has been
driving us crazy for about a year.

I have 2 sites, each with 1 ISA server. The VPN connection is (should
be)
persistent, but the connection is lost after some time (12 hours - 4
days).
The connection appears to be up in ISA management, but no traffic is
coming through. When the connection is stopped, the VPN tunnel can
connect
again.
Any ideas why the VPN stops? Or how to automatic restart the VPN, when
it
fails?
