Hi Lone, Enterprise version allows you to create caching arrays, so if you have a large number of Web requests, you can significantly speed up the users' Web surfing experience with arrays of caching Web proxies. Enterprise version also allows you to implement Enterprise Policies. Enterprise Policies allow you to centralize many aspects of your outbound and inbound access control policies. Some policies must be configured at the computer/array level, but most can be configured as the Enterprise level. Enterprise Policies are extremely useful for large organizations, but introduce a level of complexity that you don't have with standalone ISA Servers. Publishing Rules allows you to make services on the internal network accessible to external network clients. Web Publishing Rules provide a "reverse Proxy" and Server Publishing Rules essentially provide a "reverse NAT" function. Your assumption is correct. I do have W2K AD in a forest, one tree, one domain but many sites with one DC in each. I have been looking at isaserver.org and have read Mr. Tom Shinders articles regarding ISA server installation and configuration. Very enlightening except I don't know how far it is possible to apply security policies to users if you only use standard edition. I don't quite get the concept "publishing Policy Rules". Is that possible if one use the standard edition? What am I going to miss if I choose the standard edition beside the array possibility? Based on your e-mail below, you do have a forest (I assume W2K AD forest) then if you ever want to integrate ISA w/ AD and use an ISA array, then you will need ISA Enterprise. I would be certain that you will never grow beyond a single ISA server and would never need to establish an array before purchasing ISA Standard.
