That's the kind of thing we had to face for Blaster, too.
The block_msblast script also blocked valid outbound Exch RPC traffic.

You can delete that protocol from the rule and the protocol list.
It'll only reopen one attack port, but it's also the most common.

Aaargh, interestingly enough, TCP 3127 is one of the ports used by the
Reuters Kobra application used to distribute news (mostly financial for
us)

Hi all,

Black Hat was a blast, but I still missed having Tom nearby for support
and brains...

As promised, you can find the MyDoom blocking script on
www.isatools.org/block_mydoom.vbs.

I don't have a "cleaner" script this time because this one attaches
itself to the explorer process and if the script kills that
process, it effectively commit suicide.
Symantec, Computer Associates, etc  all have perfectly functional
removal tools and steps.
