The connection to ISA must be via TCP/IP only. (That is the only routable protocol.) Therefore, you will have to have a server running GSNW either on the ISA or after. Unless you can find a way to encapsulate the IPX communication within a TCP VPN connection. But even then, ISA would have to know what to do with it. You might try Goggling to see if there is 3rd party software if you can not absolutely have GSNW on the ISA or another server. John Tolmachoff IT Manager, Network Engineer RelianceSoft, Inc. Does anyone know how to configure ISA server so when I VPN through it I can get to resources on a Novell 4.1 server (IPX only) on my LAN? I have installed IPX on the ISA server (but not the GSNW) I have installed the CSNW on my VPN connection on the client but it tries to authenticate me to NDS when I log on to the workstation (which it of course, cannot) before I establish the VPN connection. I know I can use GSNW on a server to "proxy" Novell shares but I would rather not if I dont have too. Any ideas? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org/ Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
