Plunk in a unit to do routing and let the router route things, and the
firewall do it's job. That would take care of Jim's suggestion and be the
probably the easiest thing to do. Unless you have a poor network layout,
then scrap the whole thing and redesign, then use static routes on the
firewall.

You're kidding, right?
This wasn't a "feature", it was an unfortunate design choice that ISA 2000
allowed anything from "inside".
It won't be "fixed" because it ain't "broke".

Instead, fix the network design that actually created a dependency on the
firewall for network routing.

Unfortunately, we also had a LARGE customer that was quite upset
about
        the issue.
I had to write that because they wanted "the old behavior".
        ..now it's documented...

        Thanks Jim, nice article.

I know that about ISA2004 because I upgraded a scenario just like
that,
where they were using ISA2000, and it was forwarding packets with no
        problems.

Now I have no doubt about the issue :-)
