Hi all,
I've heard the pain and answered with a new function in the ISA_Ads.vbs
script.
It checks your ISA server to determine if you need SP1 and the auth registry
fix provided in http://support.microsoft.com/?id=297324 and adds it if
necessary / possible.

..still working on the "foolproof" way to make scripts "Enterprise-aware"; I
haven't ignored the many requests...
