If solving complex network problems fascinates you, this job is for you.
The ISA Server sustained engineering team is looking for a strong test
engineer or test developer, passionate about investigating customers'
network security issues, to help service the customers of ISA 2000 and
ISA 2004 firewall products.


Your responsibilities will primarily include investigating and debugging
ISA issues escalated from the support and consulting groups. You will
also produce or assist with producing fixes, and testing them. There
will also be non-investigative activities, such as hotfix and service
pack testing and assisting customers and internal teams secure their
edge servers, mitigate virus and other malware attacks. You will
exercise a full range of technical skill sets including development,
testing, and hardware setup of network topologies. You will exercise
your already excellent troubleshooting skills by investigating and
debugging customer issues. You will grow your communication skills with
activities ranging from writing clear bug reports to conducting test
plan reviews, collaborating cross-group, and working with external
customers.

Requirements: 

Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills are required. 

Must have strong networking and security knowledge, understanding TCP/IP
and higher level protocol internals as well as authentication mechanisms
such as NTLM and Kerberos.

Excellent communication skills and passion for customers is a must; you
will be working with real customers, solving real problems.

Some coding skill is required, including scripting languages VBScript
and JScript as well as mainstream languages such as C, C++ or C#. 

Preferred: 

Expertise with ISA Server 2000 and ISA Server 2004 products is a strong
plus.

Software testing experience, especially developing test automation and
performing code coverage analysis is a strong plus. 

A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.
