It allows FTP (among other things) for All Users from All Protected Networks to the External network. I'm just looking at the FTP filter, though, and notice that "Read Only" is checked. And it says if it's checked, FTP uploads will be blocked. Is this the root of the problem? Have you configured FTP policy to allow uploads? We can connect to the site just fine, but when we try to put the file into the folder we get a 550 Access Denied error. I tried looking for errors on the server. I found the records showing that a connection to the FTP server is established, and then it closes. I couldn't find any error, but I may either not know what to look for, or I may need to filter the query on something else. I was just about to tell the user that the problem is not the firewall, but then I had the idea of trying to FTP from a computer behind a different firewall. Sure enough, the FTP went right through. So the problem does appear to be my ISA 2004 firewall. I have a rule that allows outbound FTP traffic from all protected networks to the external network. Any ideas either about what might be going on, or how to query for the appropriate error?
