I have Mail Essentials, but I didn't think that it blocked attachments. I'm
downloading the free version of Mail Security and am going to try that out.

Hi Peter,
Yes, if you already have Mail Essentials, that will do a much better job
than the SMTP message screener. The SMTP Message Screener doesn't do AV, but
it can block attachments based on extension or file name, or block based on
subject line.

GFI Mail Security does a nice job at block SoBig and many other virus's.
Seeing that you use ME already, you may want to check it out. They are
actually offering a freeware version of ME. It only has one virus scanner,
where as the purchased version of the software supports 2 engines out of the
box with an optional 3rd for a little more.
