Hi Tom,

I am running some tests in a testing environment. This is not a life
server. I know it is not supported but I still want to do it for a test
network cause I need to check out some things.

Hi Robert,

Why are you running DNS on the ISA firewall? Is this machine a DC?
Better not be, 'cause that is NOT supported. Put your DC on the
Checkpoint server or PIX packet filter :-)

Hi Steve,

I did a rule to allow DNS Server from local host..... is there any other
build in rule that is denying this by any chance? Since I cannot find
anything related to it

Enable the firewall policy rule to allow DNS from local host.

http://www.ISAserver.org

Hi, I am trying to run The DNS service on the same ISA 2K4 machine.
Though the DNS server is not being able to resolve, although temporarily
I opened all access to the server itself via the firewall policy. Are
there any steps/guides on how to do this please?

regards,

Robert Abela
