Thanks for the insight. I'm currently putting together another machine for
Oracle. I just wanted to know really if this was a viable option.

Thanks again for your feedback and believe it or not it's very helpful!!

Unless you've applied the Oracle security patch don't put it anywhere near
the internet. Unless it's just a small application - why? if It's a large
application there will be a performance implication somewhere.

As soon as your firewall is taken out so is your database - if your firewall
is compromised so is your database (immediately). If you've got any
sensitive/important data then in reality this is a no no.

I'm not sure but I suspect that you won't be able to lock the machine down
tight enough.

Oracle listener may also be a problem as it's going to want a port.

What's the reason you want to go through this grief.

Sorry if this is a lot of negatives but for the sake of a small machine to
run ISA on you're asking for a lot of pain.

    Hi All,

Is there any known issues with the installation of Oracle 9i on an ISA
Server machine?

My ISA Server machine is working fine now and I really don't want to mess
anything up by installing oracle so this is why I'm asking the question before
I do..

Any tips will be most appreciated..
