You keep changing the data...
The entry in DHCP option 252 should be:
http://sentinel/wpad.dat

If you want to put "wpad" in the server name, then you have to have some way
to resolve "wpad", like a static WINS entry or a DNS alias entry.

Hi Jim,

I have configured my ISA to use Automatic Discovery (Using DNS).. But If I
type http://wpad/wpad.dat I do not get any response. I got a Page Not Found.
Is there a tool that I can create WPAD.DAT and where should I place this
file?

Thanks in advance

I hope that's a typo. If not, you should change it to read:
http://sentinel/wpad.dat

You don't really need to specify ":80", since that's the default for any
HTTP request.

I have set my DHCP server to automatically configure my clients. In my DHCP
the 252 option looks like this for my isa server http://SENTINAL:80.dat. But
if i deselect use a proxy server and select automatically detect settings
then my clients cant get on the internet. I have the firewall client
software installed in all clients machines and the white arrow is pointing
up. Did i miss something with the DHCP 252 ?
