Hey Dominique.
Firstly, welcome to the world of Alexa, she's super.
in relation to your contacts, once you register your number any of your
contacts that have Alexa will show up in the Alexa app.
Then for changing voices the only thing you can do is change language ie
American english and UK english, as yet there is no Irish English. you change
the language by going into your device name on the app.
Skills are the things she can do, when i'm enabling skills i just tell her to
enable it. I have skills like sleep sounds, games like pointless and Harry
Potter letters and also have Irish Radio player.
I use her for listening to my audio books, listening to radio stations, playing
games, spelling words, doing math, playing relaxing sounds at night, set
timers, reminders and alarms, listening to music i use amazon music. I also
ring and send messages to friends.

Hi all,
Yesterday my parents gave me an Echo Dot third generation and a smart plug for
my birthday and I’d like to know how do I sync my iPhone 8 contacts to Alexa
and change the voices on it?
I love it. It’s amazing at all it can do. Poor Siri’s redundant now! LOL!
I downloaded the app for it to my iPhone and the Spotify one too and created an
account also.
What are skills?
All help appreciated.
Thanks.
