Young Martin is a misfit. Bullied at school and misunderstood at home, his
only comfort comes from sneaking off to the family coal shed to bond with
his German Shepherds, Major and Rex. When things reach breaking point, the
13 year old runs away from his home in Limerick, Ireland, and finds himself
taken in by a new family a pack of stray dogs. As they dodge trains, steal
meals and fight for survival, Martin finds himself on the road he was always
meant to take. Based on the best-selling memoir, this rough-and-tumble tale,
starring acclaimed Irish actor Bryan Burroughs, fuses shadow puppetry,
swinging Irish music and stunning physical performance to bring Byron Bay
Dog Man Martin McKennas epic true story to the stage for the first time.

This time for sure. With every project we risk things blowing up in our
faces, began the copy for this OH&S nightmare in last years brochure.
Well, as we now know, nightmares really can come true, but Lee Wilsons left
scaphoid has fully recovered and, hard as it is to believe, hes climbed
back on that horse. Heart in your mouth, youll watch as, poker-faced, he
scales collapsing cardboard-box towers, or hangs precariously from
sticky-tape bridges, or entrusts his future mobility to the dubious
weight-bearing properties of cheaply made office consumables. In High
Performance Packing Tape, award-winning, cutting-edge performance company
Branch Nebula (Wilson with collaborating artists Mirabelle Wouters, Mickie
Quick, and Phil Downing) has forged a performance that dares to ask is a
life without danger worth living? Its messy, terrifying, deeply
challenging to accepted notions of comfort and safety, and incredible fun.
Youll peer through parted fingers, thrill to his successes, wince at his
failures and try hard to contain your uproarious laughter. Bring plenty of
teenagers, but dont let them near Officeworks afterwards.
Superb... Skilled, inventive and risk taking. REAL TIME

Following the sell-out success of #DearDiary at The Bakehouse in 2016, Andi
Snelling returns with her new physical theatre tour de force. Presented by:
Under the Microscope and Andi Snelling (SA/VIC)Powerhouse performer Andi
Snelling is in the fight of her life after a tick bite plunged her into
dangerously ill health. Little does she know, she is about to orchestrate
her own rescue in this visceral odyssey that blends clowning, storytelling
and roller skates. Through a profound celebration of mortality and
resilience, Andi aligns the personal with the universal and makes the
invisible visible as she shares her ongoing plight with unflinching honesty
and gut-punching comedy.
The shows message of hope amidst uncertainty is even more relevant now than
ever. With rave reviews, standing ovations and making multiple 'Best Of
2019' lists, this show is simply unmissable.
Content Warnings: Strong Occasional Nudity Level, Smoke Effects
An essential theatrical experience. Snelling burns with an incandescent
love of life. Her physical performance constantly astonishes. - Theatre
